Kevin received his bachelorís degree from Auburn University and his masterís degree from The
University of Tennessee. He holds a Graduate Certificate in the Treatment of Trauma, with an emphasis
on complex trauma in adolescents. He is trained in TF-CBT (Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral
Therapy), ARC (Attachment, Self-Regulation and Competency) and ITCT (Integrated Treatment of
Complex Trauma). He has also completed training in DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy) and ACT
(Acceptance and Commitment Therapy).
Kevin believes in fostering therapeutic relationships founded upon compassion, trust and empathy. He
strives to make the therapeutic journey one that is joyful, meaningful and dignified. His therapeutic
approach varies, depending on the specific needs of the client. He practices an integrative and holistic
approach to psychotherapy.
Kevin provides individual, family and group therapy services. His services include those to adults and
adolescents (ages 13-19). Areas of treatment include trauma, substance abuse/addiction, depression,
anxiety, menís issues, lifestyle coaching, weight loss counseling, work-life balance and relationship
issues. For adolescents, treatment areas include trauma, self-injury, substance abuse/addiction,
oppositional defiance, conduct issues and externalized behaviors (anger, aggression, etc.)
An avid cyclist, Kevin is very active in the cycling community throughout the Greater Nashville area. This
includes captaining teams for charitable causes. It is his philosophy that regular exercise and self-care
practices are essential to maintaining mental health.
